Terms and Conditions
- Tournament owner Western Cape Bowls hereto referred to as WCB, a SASCOC entity set out to developing the sport in the Western Cape demographical area
- Tournament promoter, Zandvliet Wine Estate Ltd Pty whose registered office is at PO Box 36 Ashton 6715 hereto refer to Zandvliet, the sole sponsor for round two and three for the duration of the 2019 tournament.
- Hosting clubs, here to refer to as Clubs, clubs that has been approached by the district and agreed to take part in the Zandvliet Business league 2019
- Business league player, here to refer to as player, a non member that has not been a member of BSA previously, which takes part in the tournament.
- Duration of tournament, commence on the 1st of October 2018 and ends with the final on 14th September 2019.
- No member of WCB committee, or Sponsor or club can be held liable for any claims, on the day of play.
- The WCB reserves the right to determine the, venues, dates and amount of teams qualifying for round two and three.
- The competition is open to residents of South Africa over the age of 18. BSA members and ex members are not permitted to take part.
- By entering this competition, player is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The players can only take part in semi final and final tournament if they have qualified and paid their R90-00 within the two weeks of their results to their districts.
- A team consist of 4 players (a player, team manager or club secretary can complete the online entry form). The competition only allows one entry per team and team manager. Multiple entries from the same team or persons will be disqualified
- Closing date for entry will be 28th of February 2019. After that the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- Entries will only accepted through Zandvliet website. zandvliet.co.za
- The sponsor Zandvliet and/or Bowls Western Cape reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
- Zandvliet is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
- Updates of the competitions will be posted/shared on Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
- The prizes are as follows:
Each club participating will receive a price for the “Spinnekop”, included for the semi-finals and finals
At the five semi-finals each playing member of the winning team will win a 3 L Zandvliet Shiraz in a wooden case and receive an invite to the final.
For the second-place team each playing member will win a 500ml ClemenGold Gin
For the third-place team each playing member will win a 750ml Zandvliet Shiraz
For the for the fourth-place team each playing member will win a gift pack consisting of a 40ml ClemenGold Gin and 375ml Zandvliet Shiraz
For the Finals each playing member of the winning team will win weekend away for two at the House on Enon guest at Zandvliet and a 5 l Zandvliet Shiraz in a wooden box.
For the second-place team each playing member will win a 1000ml ClemenGold Gin.
For the third-place team each playing member will win a 750ml Zandvliet Shiraz
For the for the fourth-place team each playing member wil win a gift pack consisting off a 40ml ClemenGold Gin and 375ml Zandvliet Shiraz
The club which produces the winning team will receive the sponsored bowling matts used during the semi-finals and finals
There will be raffle tickets sold during the semi-finals and final for a 500ml Gin and 3 l Zandvliet Shiraz.
- Prize will be handed over after the days play once a winner is declared by the tournament umpire. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
- The winning players agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current South Africa data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
